HB 843 passed the Legislature a few weeks ago and is now with Governor DeSantis waiting for his signature to become law. Due to his recent trip to Israel, the healthcare bill was not signed before he left. Now that he is back, it is critically important that you and your physicians contact Governor DeSantis’ office and urge him to approve HB 843.

Tell him that the bill includes several provisions one of which would allow ASCs to keep a patient, if medically necessary, for up to 24 hours as allowed by the federal government and 40 other states.
